just been to look at the boards.ie discussion on broadband and out of curiosity went to the BT24Mb thread. To discover that the 24mb offer includes Kilkenny City although it had not been mentioned in the headlined areas in press coverage.
So, keeping in mind that the Eircom DSL 3mb service is pretty reliable and that I do the majority of work from my SOHO so I need a service that is there constantly, is there any reason why I should not switch to a similarly priced but up to 8 times as fast connection???
Please let me know over the next couple of days 'cause I may need to scratch this itch next week :-)

Yep - you are correct about BT service neil. however eircom is not the best either.
will have to explore boards.ie on the topic of BT a little more

i'd a 'close my account' issue with BT than dragged on and on.
you can do everything online except close account. that you needed to go snail mail with forms etc.
which they lost ...

This is something I am becoming more aware of recently - the number of services which could easily be canceled online - but which rely on a phone call, email or snail mail.
At the conference I was at in new York about selling online subscriptions this was seen (by some) as a valid way of reducing churn. And for one at least it did!
