Myself and Tom Corcoran from Arclabs are doing a talk on Getting Things Done at the Barcamp being held in Dublin next Saturday 21st April.

Getting Things Done is a system for helping you to organise yourself. Developed by David Allen in the US it is refreshing in a number of respects.
- No ABC ranking of to-do lists (those of you who have done traditional time management courses will be familiar with those!)
- A willingness by David A to allow the development of tools (both software and paper based) by others without getting hung up on trademarking etc.
- It works.
I will be talking though the basics of the system and my implementation of same and Tom will talk about his view of GTD (he has attended one of David A's days in the US) and how to implement same in a team environment. Expect a good discussion during and afterwards on topics like attention deficit and juggling multiple projects :-)

Excellent. Looking forward to it. Don't schedule this at the same time as my talk, please! :-)
I use Neptune (http://neptunehq.com/) as my GTD tool of choice. I needs a lot more development work but it's quick to get started with compared to other systems (digital and paper) that I've tried.

Was good to hear the insights of you and Tom on this. Thanks. Had to share it with another talk at the same time so no doubt missed a lot of the good stuff though. I think people are very interested in GTD but unsure where to start. Software implementations may be the way forward for the masses. Would love to see a round-up of the offerings out there.
