How to improve the odds for yourself as an Irish Startup

One of the common features of Irish Startups whom I admire is that they have obtained State support. That is not necessarily funding which can be both a distraction (from finding customers and getting them to pay you for products/services) and also a tedious pain in the head.

It is more commonly participation on a program that allows them to share experiences and knowledge with other early stage start ups and to learn from visiting speakers and the program organisers. The Enterprise Platform Programs (EPP's)around the country are a great example of these and they are a strong feeder into the Enterprise Ireland HPSU (High Potential Start Up) pool.

SEEPP - the EPP which is based in the Carrignore Campus of WIT - is currently recruiting for the September intake. If you have an idea which you are comfortable has commercial legs and you need or would welcome assistance in developing a plan, raising funding or commercialisting it then contact Eugene Crehan who heads SEEPP. Call him at 051 302953. Alternatively email him at ecrehan AT wit.ie .

The final interviews happen next week so move quickly. I can strongly recommend this one.
