This is only the second time I have seen this - google results clustered with the presentation done using very light grey lines to separate the clusters.
On the internet connection front apparently a tree falling is the cause of the phone line (and DSL) disconnect. However it is impossible to get a definite day for the repair - every call to Cinergi is met with "It's been assigned to a repair crew".
Since the repair crew actually work with Eircom Cinergi cannot give me any further information. The persons answering the phone in Cinergi (pleasant and polite as they are) do not seem to be motivated to dig any deeper for me either. Maybe today a crew will turn up.
