dbTwang - first announcement of our new venture name

We are now at the end of week 7 of our 10 week build and confident enough now in our June launch that we decided yesterday to put up our holding page - www.dbtwang.com.  (at the time of writing this post our holding page is in beta! - with a typo and as yet unconnected backend for collecting emails. This will be remedied very shortly :-)

And this is our logo as featured on the home page. Developed for us by Cian Walsh in Afterglow.

It's kinda nice to see something up in public!

Typo? Must be one of those early beta things.... ;) Nice to see it starting to come into fruition

keith - like the logo. word of advice from collecting email addresses from magazine readers etc. i would be careful about so explicitly saying you will only send them one email. not suggesting you become a spammer but there may be legitimate launch related reasons why you need to contact them a second time. just a thought. jc

Thanks John. Always a balance between leaving flexibility and being uber-clear on privacy.

It was a very conscious choice to go the way we did.

Glad you like the logo - Cian's work is good and he is doing more for us :-)

10 week build? Erm, I thought you were talking about June 2007 Keith.

:-o

2007 - cool. The world's longest-ever holding page ;-)

"there may be legitimate launch related reasons why you need to contact them a second time" John C (the Prophet)

We are looking for email confirmations so we are already breaking (strictly speaking) our first promise to our audience because it's one automated email confirmation and then the launch one!!

Lookin' good!
