A glimpse of the present

One sentence from a Tom Markiericz post on SxSW (South by South West - major music/media/technology conference held each year in Austin, Texas). Tom has a great series of posts on the conference.

"audience question: how may people talked to a human for travel plans to get here? (2 hands raised in over a 1000 people) "

Even in an audience of early adopters and geeks (and despite having had a couple of years of heavy travel with no human beings involved) I still am in awe of this percentage.
