I have a long haul flight to America over Christmas. I would like some suggestions on what I can wear that’s comfortable and that will allow me to look nice when I reach my destination. Thanks Valerie.
Hi Valerie,
Think comfort and loose fitting. Nothing linen as it creases too easily. I would suggest a loose pair of cotton mix trousers/combats in a dark colour, as they won’t show creases too much. And a vest top or t-shirt, and wear a lightweight cardigan or jumper. You can always have a pashmina or shawl in your hand-luggage for when it gets chilly and it can double as a pillow also.
Wear flat shoes - maybe a pair of lightweight canvas trainers or opened toed sandals. I would also suggest that you buy a pair of flight socks, as they help prevent deep vein thrombosis and help to improve blood flow and discomfort in the legs when flying. They are available from most chemists. Enjoy your journey, Martina.
